For garbrandt this was a stupid call out from the start. Figgy proved that he still has power a division up and I have no doubt that if he connects once is over for no chin. Also Garbrandt success usually comes from a clear speed advantage that I don't think will be there against figgy.

I think the UFC just kind of decided to go all in on OMalleys star power and stacked 299 to get every eyeball imaginable on him. People are going to watch 300 just because it's an anniversary card.

Cody knows that if he wins he would enter quite close to the Top 5 with a streak of 3 consecutive victories and would only need one more victory for another title shot.
Deivision knows that if it wins it will probably not rise in the ranking, nor will it get an immediate title shot, but it would be a victory with Name Value and the way to close the rivalry that started in 2020.
